Chapter 94.Reason for burning hunger in heart-2

0 Views 0 Comments

Mylo felt confused hearing Braden’s words.

After our argument at the start, he had ordered Branzey to kidnap Reina, which I had prevented. I then confronted Aldoff regarding that because of the quest.

”So? When did you start working for him? I’m damn sure you didn’t meet each other back in school.”

So where does this whole working with Aldoff thing come from? Is he just messing with me or…

Am I the one who has missed some details?

Unsure of the situation, Mylo decided to play clueless while keeping up his act of cockiness in front of them.

”I have never met your brother. And don’t even start about working for him. You wouldn’t wanna do anything for his rotten ass.”

”You did. In front of the whole damn crowd at the induction. You used my name against him. Pointing a finger at our family,” Braden gritted his teeth.

”Or at least! At least you and Aldoff tried to play it like that. So he can make up some bunch of nonsense and get me out of the chain of command!”

Huh? Chain of command? I have never heard about it.

But the thing about using it as an excuse…

Didn’t something similar happen in my previous life?

Braden almost started to shout before swallowing his anger.

”I’m sure someone like you didn’t play much of a role in it. But you still worked against me. I won’t let you just walk away like nothing happened.”

No way… Aldoff… that bastard played me both times…

Mylo tightened his fist as he figured something important out. But he didn’t let it show on his face.

”Just what are you even talking about? You are here wasting my time with some nonsense talk?”

Braden clicked his tongue in annoyance and said, “Still gonna pretend nothing’s going on?”

”Braden! I tell ya, let’s just beat this bastard and be done with it!”

Even in my previous life, Aldoff had saved me from Braden. He had done his duties as student representative. I had thought for the moment that I was finally saved.

But that was just a facade! It was just a fight between brothers and I was used as a plaything!

He had already turned away all his attention from his surroundings. His past surrounded him like the chains holding his soul in a cage.

After Braden left college, my life slipped past the normal torment of bullying. Getting involved with drugs and even forced to become a carrier.

He felt his soul burning in the fire that had already consumed his previous life.

Getting used by Dragon and losing Mom. Even losing my love! All under the rule of their father!!

I…! I…!

His heart demanded a pleasure that he failed to recognize. He had never experienced that pleasure.

”Mylo Zane,” Braden took a step forward and, in almost an inaudible whisper, said, “I’m gonna give you a last chance. Stop faking and accept it; I’ll let you walk away on your legs.”

And you were the catalyst that started everything!!!

Mylo’s burning eyes raised to Braden.

And then became cold in a fraction of a second as they reflected Braden’s face.

Mylo raised his eyebrows in annoyance and swept his gaze around their group, his eyes meeting each of them as Shyle took an unsure step behind Vanessa.

”You have misunderstood everything, you big-muscled idiot.”

”Haa?”

”You, with your doggy Peter and your vulnerable, weak girlfriends, are here on an empty road with me,” Mylo took a step in his direction, his gray coat fluttering in the wind.

”I can drown your body in the lake behind the forest and not a soul would even get wind of it.”

The silent wind was the only noise after his words finished echoing.

Then Braden broke out into laughter.

”Hahahahehahehahaha-haah, haha, ha… Do you guys hear him? Hahahaahahah, hah, hah…”

Although he stopped, the tense expression on Vanessa’s face didn’t disappear. Behind her, Shyle lightly grabbed her arm in nervousness.

Calming down, Braden relaxed his body and looked up into the slightly orange sky. “You have really lost your mind, haven’t you? I have seen people go crazy in fear, but your case is the first.”

”Whether I’m crazy, it will get proven soon. Don’t waste my time anymore, if you have guts, come.”

”Heh,” Braden looked at him in disinterest. With a sigh, he commanded in a deep voice, “Peter, he is all yours.”

Hearing Braden’s command, Peter grew a wide smirk as he pulled back his right hand and walked up to Mylo.

”I’ve been waiting for this all night, Mylo!”

Peter threw his hook with all the power he could muster at the standing-still Mylo.

”ah?”

His hand felt like it had stopped in mid-air.

Peter looked up and saw Mylo’s eyes weren’t even looking at him.

”You-ah! H-hey! Waittt!!”

His fingers made a popping sound as they were crushed before he was jerked up and knee-kicked in the chest.

”Ughk!?”

Mylo then swung his arm and slapped him under the chin before throwing him to the ground.

Braden looked on with a shocked expression before neutralizing it and smirking a little.

”So you weren’t confident for nothing, eh?”

”Are you really Mylo?” he asked with a chuckle.

Mylo didn’t reply and only looked in his direction. On the side, Peter rolled while clutching his stomach.

”It’s honestly good that you can fight. I’m relieved that I won’t have to just go without any action myself.”

Braden seemed to take a deep breath before taking off his jacket.

He cracked his neck and threw his jacket on the ground, his muscular arms clearly visible in the rising sun.

”I’ll stop thinking like I know you. You aren’t the Mylo I knew. Don’t get too cocky-I’m enough to take care of you!”

Braden rushed at him and threw a straight punch, before changing course in a split second and using his other hand to land a hook.

It hit Mylo directly under his ear!
