Chapter 290: Make a list
After Brent had opened his mouth and was honest with Sergei, the plans to watch a movie fell a bit to the wayside. Brent was a little confused why at first, but Sergei didn’t make them change location, and after he explained himself, Brent was embarrassed that he hadn’t thought of it first.
Sergei was so sweet, turning to Brent, his eyes soulful and warm as he stared at Brent. No judgement, no confusion, just a sweetness that permeated Brent’s whole being. God, Brent was lucky that such a man wanted to be with him, and was willing to put up with all the bullshit that came with being with Brent.
“Brent, zaichonok, we need to discuss what that will mean for us going forward.” Sergei told him sweetly. Brent stared at him, his hand on Sergei’s chest, his green eyes wide and not understanding him.
“Why?” Brent asked and Sergei stared at him before he dropped his head, shaking it as he smiled and chuckled.
“Because I don’t want to make you uncomfortable. I can understand that to you, you probably think it’s a given that there are some lines that we would cross, but I do not, I cannot do something without discussing with you first. It would kill me if I did something that you didn’t like.” Sergei said, raising his head to meet Brent’s eyes. “I was functioning under the understanding that you had more experience in certain areas. That was wrong of me. We should have had this conversation back on the front lines. That was my mistake, and I’m sorry.” Brent furrowed his brows.
“Don’t apologise. You didn’t do anything wrong. I didn’t bring it up either. It usually benefits me if people think I’m able and capable to do crazy things. It’s not hard to learn shibari, at least not for Field Guides. I apparently took to it like a fish to water and I’m sure there are other things that I will take to well as well. I’m durable, Sergei.” Brent told him. Sergei stared at Brent before he turned, reached for his wine and took a deep sip. He licked his lips, picking up a few drops that would have spilt, before turning back to Brent.
“Brent, I don’t want you to take to anything you don’t want to do. It’s also important to make sure we work sexually as well.” Sergei’s eyes smiled as he stared down at Brent. “Was this not something you were worried about and tried to soothe me about before? You should be more than willing to discuss this, right Brent? For the sake of our relationship?” Sergei asked. Brent felt like this was a trap. He narrowed his gaze at the man and Sergei chuckled. “Do you want a sip of wine?” Sergei asked and Brent nodded.
He should have known better.
Sergei reached for his glass again, taking a sip before putting the glass down and reaching for Brent. Brent wasn’t stupid, he knew exactly what the man was thinking. He leaned into the grip that Sergei placed on the back of Brent’s head, opening his mouth willingly for the man.
The wine was a little warm, a little sweet, and tasted of Sergei. It was perfect.
Sergei pulled back, his cheeks flushed as he stared back at Brent. He muttered something under his breath that Brent couldn’t understand, but Brent would let it slide. He looked cute, there were a few things he could excuse.
He was just going to have to learn a new language, that was all.
“Okay, so we need to discuss this. Is this a discussion about the kinks that you know you have or think you have, or is it about me?” Brent asked and Sergei’s laughter made Brent’s stomach flip.
“Both, zaichonok. I would like to discuss both of us. Maybe we need a visual aide.” He murmured, glancing around. That was when Brent got to his feet, swaying slightly at the strange feeling he was experiencing. Sergei jumped, ready to catch him when Brent chuckled.
“I’m fine, just adjusting.” Brent told him, giving him a naughty look. “Your cum is just jostling around inside of me. It’s a little strange since I haven’t felt this before, but I don’t dislike it.” Brent told him. Sergei’s face flamed. It was a very powerful feeling to have a man who was normally stoic and cold blushing like a bride in front of him. That was a kind of power that could make someone do bad things.
Brent ignored that and moved towards the bedroom. He’d used one corner of the room for random supplies that he would need. It would have made sense for him to use a part of the kitchen, but the well-trained side of him from Kellen had screamed when he’d considered putting anything but kitchen-related items there. Even if Brent didn’t really cook, that didn’t mean anything else could go there.
He pulled out some paper and some pens, ignoring the way his ass kept clenching now that he wasn’t sitting. He liked the feeling, it just made his face warm.
Turning, he came face to shoulder with Sergei who’d been looming behind him.
“Here. Let me, zaichonok.” Sergei told him and Brent rolled his eyes.
“I still have one functioning hand.” Brent argued and Sergei chuckled. He leaned down and pressed a soft kiss against Brent’s forehead.
“I am aware, but that doesn’t mean I can’t help you. Let me. It makes me feel important to you.” Sergei told him. How could Brent argue against that?
Sergei took Brent’s hand in his, giving him a warm smile full of love and affection as he led him back to the living room. Brent tugged, pulling him towards the island and Sergei, for his part, didn’t hesitate. What he did do was an impressive use of his powers. He picked up both wineglasses and carried them to the island without spilling a single drop. He also pulled out Brent’s chair, kissing him on the forehead again before he pushed his chair in. He then moved the stool he was going to sit on closer to Brent so that their thighs rubbed against each other easily.
Brent felt warm all over, and a little jittery. He still wasn’t sure that being this happy was okay, but he wasn’t about to push Sergei away. He would rather die than hurt this man.
Emotionally, of course. Brent had a feeling he knew what the man was going to write down on his kink paper, if that was indeed what they were about to do.
“So, before you say anything, I have a feeling I know what’s about to happen.” Brent said as Sergei slid a paper towards him with a pen. Sergei looked at him, raising one of his pierced eyebrows, and Brent had to make sure he wasn’t drooling.
“Oh? Please explain then, zaichonok. What do you think we’re going to do?” Sergei was humouring him, but Brent didn’t care.
“I think you’re going to have us both write out what we like, don’t like or want to try. Kellen’s done this with me, but not for kinks. For training purposes and what I’d be willing to teach.” Brent said. Sergei’s expression softened further as he leaned in and kissed Brent on the forehead again.
“What a smart lover I have.” Sergei murmured and Brent’s heart could not handle this man so close to him without kissing him, so Brent did. It was a soft, sweet kiss, Sergei not allowing Brent to kiss him deeper. Brent was pouting when Sergei pulled away, laughing.
“We need to focus, Brent, and as much as I love kissing you, we need to work on this. It’s important.” Sergei told him and while Brent pouted, he knew that he was right. Sighing, Brent turned his attention towards the blank paper before him. “You’re right. I was planning to ask that of you. Don’t worry, I won’t judge what you put down, as long as you don’t just what I put down.” Sergei said. Brent hesitated.
“Can I draw one line right now?” Brent asked and Sergei’s playful demeanour shifted.
“Of course. What is it?” Sergei asked and Brent hesitated for a second before he spoke.
“No scat play or golden showers, please. Cum is fine, but the other stuff…” Brent trailed off. “I don’t want to degrade anyone that much, and I care about you too much to think I’d find that attractive.” Brent told him seriously. Sergei stared at him, unblinking for a moment and Brent wondered if that was something that Sergei had been interested in. Brent worried before Sergei reached out and pulled him close.
“That’s fine, Brent. I think those are rather normal lines that people tend to have. My extremes don’t lean in that direction, anyways.” Sergei told him and Brent felt his shoulders relax.
“Oh thank goodness. I didn’t think so, but I was worried for a second that I’d offended you.” Brent murmured, embarrassed. Sergei chuckled.
“Focus on yourself, please. I want to learn more about you and the things you like, and the things you’d be open to exploring.” Sergei told him, reaching for his glass of wine. Brent just wanted to sit there and admire the man. Damn, he’d really snagged a handsome one, hadn’t he? Sergei narrowed his gaze. “Brent, focus. Stop staring at me like that. This first. I thought you just came eight times?” Sergei asked and Brent licked his lips.
“I’m never satisfied when it comes to you.” Brent told him seriously and watched as the handsome Esper blushed.
“Enough. Don’t make me use my position as a Captain to get you to do it.” He warned and Brent felt his eyes widen. That was an option?
“I can make those kinds of requests?” He asked and Sergei groaned.
“Brent.” He said sternly and Brent grinned, chuckling.
“Fine, fine. I’ll at the very least write it down.” Brent muttered. Sergei let out a choked laugh, and Brent slid a glance towards him. Sergei’s hand came out, landing on the back of Brent’s head and turned it towards the blank piece of paper.
“You’re not allowed to look at me until you write five things down on that piece of paper. I swear. This is for your benefit, not mine, Brent.” Sergei reminded him. Brent laughed.
“I know, I know. I just like looking at you, you know? You’re so handsome.” Brent told him. Sergei sighed. He muttered something under his breath again and Brent was sure it was probably asking someone for strength. He grinned, unrepentant as he picked up his pen. He’d better get some things written down before Sergei didn’t have the strength to resist him any longer.
