Chapter 205: You Move Fast!*
Arabella climbed into the Bentley with the others, and before long, another photo of her leaving campus was making the rounds on the university forum.
This time, the discussion wasn’t about her.
It was about Luca.
The first time, he’d shown up in a Mercedes G-Class. The second time, it was a Ferrari. Now he was driving a Bentley.
The comments flooded in.
“Just who is the campus beauty’s boyfriend?”
“Seriously… how rich is this guy?”
Meanwhile, Arabella’s roommate, Rebecca, stared at the photo on her phone. It captured Arabella brushing her hair aside as she leaned into the Bentley, looking elegant as ever.
Jealousy burned in Rebecca’s eyes.
Still, she didn’t dare confront Arabella anymore. These days, she went out of her way to avoid her.
The reason was simple.
Luca.
The image of him openly beating someone on campus, only to walk away without consequences, was still burned into her mind.
Even Matthew Montgomery, one of the wealthy second-generation heirs who had pursued her relentlessly, had completely disappeared after his conflict with Luca.
At first, Rebecca didn’t think much of it.
She simply didn’t want to lose someone who constantly spent money on her.
She tried calling Matthew, only to discover his number had been disconnected.
She even visited the nightclub he frequented, asking around for him.
No one had seen him for days.
That was when she finally realized something had happened.
She didn’t know the details, but she was convinced Luca was involved.
From then on, provoking Arabella was the last thing on her mind.
If she somehow offended Luca…
She didn’t even want to imagine the consequences.
Fortunately, she hadn’t been sitting around doing nothing.
The previous night, she’d met another wealthy man at a bar.
He wasn’t nearly as handsome as Luca, nor did he have the same physique, but judging from the way the bar owner treated him, his status in San Fierro was obviously impressive.
Rebecca immediately saw another opportunity.
’What if he’s even richer than Luca?’
’Then I’ll finally have the upper hand again.’
With that thought, she opened the chat window beneath the contact she’d saved as “Shark [Heart] Met at the Bar”.
After seeing everyone showing off luxury cars today, she couldn’t hold herself back anymore.
Holding her phone close, she deliberately softened her voice.
“Daddy~ Your car is so cool. I want to ride in it too. Promise you’ll drive fast for me~”
After sending the voice message, she looked up just in time to catch a male student making a disgusted face as he walked past.
“What are you staring at?” she snapped. “Never seen a pretty girl before? Get lost, loser.”
With her chin raised high, she strutted away like a proud peacock.
—
At the same time…
Trish had rarely eaten seafood before, so Vivienne suggested one of the finest seafood restaurants in San Fierro.
“Bro, why didn’t you invite Naomi?” Trish asked curiously from the passenger seat.
“She went out with her friends,” Luca replied as he kept his eyes on the road.
He had originally wanted to invite Lisa as well, but she was buried in exams.
Medical students had an especially brutal schedule this week, so it would have to wait until she was finished.
A few minutes later, they arrived at the restaurant.
The moment they stepped inside, a waitress in an elegant cheongsam greeted them with a polite smile and a slight bow.
“Welcome, Miss Vivienne.”
Vivienne gave a small nod.
“Please prepare our usual private room.”
She handed over a black-and-gold membership card.
“Certainly. This way, please.”
Following the waitress, the group walked down the quiet corridor before arriving at an exquisitely decorated private dining room.
Inside, a chef wearing a crisp white hat was already waiting beside the cooking station.
Two beautiful women dressed in matching cocktail dresses stood nearby, ready to assist.
“Bro, this place is incredible!” Trish looked around in amazement.
She had never eaten anywhere this luxurious before.
Luca smiled.
“It really is.”
Even he had to admit Vivienne had exceptional taste.
Places like this weren’t somewhere ordinary people could casually visit.
After everyone settled into their seats, they placed their orders and waited for the dishes.
“So bro… when’s my sports car arriving?” Trish asked impatiently.
“I seriously can’t wait anymore.”
She’d always been something of a tomboy and had loved cars since she was little.
The thought of driving her own sports car around the city already had her grinning.
Luca set down his phone.
“You don’t even know how to drive yet.”
“I can learn!” she shot back immediately. “You already promised. No taking it back.”
Her logic was simple.
Her brother was rich now.
If she didn’t cash in while she had the chance, what if he suddenly went broke?
Luca couldn’t help laughing.
He turned toward Vivienne.
“Know anyone who can help her learn?”
“Of course.”
Vivienne picked up her phone.
“I’ll make a few arrangements. You can start whenever you’re ready.”
She loved racing and even owned her own racetrack.
If anyone could arrange proper driving lessons, it was her.
A moment later, her phone buzzed.
She glanced at the reply before flashing Trish an OK sign.
Trish nearly jumped out of her seat in excitement.
She could hardly wait.
Compared to everyone else’s conversation, Arabella remained as quiet as ever.
Thankfully, Vivienne and Trish were naturally outgoing, keeping the atmosphere lively enough that everyone quickly became comfortable around one another.
At the same time, Vivienne and Arabella seemed to reach an unspoken understanding.
Certain topics were carefully avoided while Luca was present.
There would be plenty of opportunities to talk privately after they exchanged contact information.
Arabella quietly peeled a shrimp and placed it into Luca’s bowl.
“Luca.”
He looked at her.
“I’m going back to the Capital next week.”
There was a trace of reluctance in her calm voice.
Her mother was alone back home.
No matter how much she wanted to stay, she couldn’t leave her by herself.
That was why she never traveled during winter or summer breaks like everyone else.
Only short holidays were spent traveling with Fiona.
Luca simply nodded.
“I’ll come see you.”
He knew there was no changing her mind.
Rather than trying to stop her, he’d rather fly to the Capital whenever he had time.
A faint smile appeared on Arabella’s lips.
“Okay.”
After a brief pause, she added softly,
“I’ll introduce you to my mother.”
“She wants to meet you.”
Luca’s eyes immediately lit up.
“Really?”
Arabella nodded.
“Really.”
Hearing those words filled him with excitement.
To him, this meant she was finally ready to let him become part of her real world.
For the first time, he genuinely looked forward to visiting the Capital.
Perhaps…
That would be the day their relationship truly began.
Across the table, Trish froze with half a crab leg still in her hand.
She pointed back and forth between the two of them.
“Wait…”
“You two are already meeting the parents?”
Luca laughed.
“I’m meeting Arabella’s mother.”
“As for introducing everyone to Mom and Dad…”
He sighed.
“Let’s not think about that just yet.”
Honestly, he had no idea how he was supposed to explain everything to his parents.
Bringing home an entire group of girlfriends all at once…
He wasn’t sure their hearts could handle that.
“But meeting the parents is still a huge step!” Trish insisted before turning toward Vivienne.
“Sister Viv, how are you still so calm?”
Vivienne rested her chin on one hand, smiling.
“Why don’t you tell me? What should I do?”
“But my brother’s already going to her house.”
Vivienne chuckled.
“Your brother’s already been to mine.”
“…”
Trish blinked.
Then she looked between the two women before finally nodding with complete seriousness.
“Sister Vivienne…”
“You really moved fast.”
She turned to Arabella.
“Sister Arabella, you’ve got to catch up.”
Vivienne lifted her chin proudly.
“That’s right.”
“I made my move while your brother was still just an ordinary little brother.”
