“Ugh… I wish that hottie had asked me to go down the slide with him,” Ayane grumbles, putting extra emphasis on her words just to tease Aoshi.

“Knock it off,” Aoshi snaps, irritated.

“If I didn’t know you better, I’d say you were jealous…”

“Jealous? Me? Don’t be ridiculous…”

In truth, Aoshi isn’t just jealous — he’s ridiculously jealous.

“That slide must be really fun if they’ve already gone down it five times…”

“I-I didn’t think you were jealous of her, especially since you were the one who said there’s nothing between you two… and that you don’t care about her…” Ayane murmurs. Behind her sunglasses, her eyes turn melancholic.

“I-I’m not jealous! I’m just worried about her, that’s all! Eliss is obviously a girl with… well, incredible beauty, and the world’s full of creeps who can’t keep their hands to themselves! That’s it.”

“Honestly, he seemed like a really nice guy to me. He was genuinely kind and polite — first he made sure she was single, then he invited her onto the slide without acting arrogant or vulgar. If all handsome guys were like him, the world would be a better place.”

Damn it — the fact that even Ayane sees him as such a handsome, polite guy makes me even more nervous! If he were just some random creep, I’d feel a lot better — Eliss knows exactly how to deal with guys like that.

Aoshi suddenly jumps to his feet, alert like a dog that’s caught a scent.

“And you said you weren’t jealous…” Ayane says, shaking her head with resignation.

“I-I told you, I’m just worried! I’m gonna check if Eliss is okay, then I’ll come right back. I won’t be long!”

●Meanwhile●

“It was really fun, Kaito, but I should get back to my dear Aoshi now,” Eliss says.

She and Kaito are standing near the restroom area. He’d drunk a lot of water during all those rides and, well… nature called. Or at least, that was the excuse he used to bring Eliss to a more secluded part of the water park, near the restrooms.

“Your Aoshi? Didn’t you say you were single?” he asks, a hint of irritation creeping into his voice.

“I said he’s not my boyfriend, not that I’m not his girlfriend.”

“That makes absolutely no sense!”

“My heart and everything else already belong to him, even if he insists otherwise. I only came with you to make him jealous, not because I was actually interested. Anyway, I don’t owe you an explanation, so enjoy the rest of your day. Bye-bye.”

Her tone stays calm and polite — the kind of composure she learned after two months working as a waitress at the Moonlight Club.

“Oh no, missy, you’re not leaving that easily!” Kaito snaps, stepping in front of her to block her way. “First you act all cute and friendly, then you suddenly push me away like this? Are you one of those girls who lead a guy on just to slam the door in his face afterward? I know exactly how to handle girls like you!”

He grabs Eliss by the arms and forces her into the men’s restroom.

“W-What do you think you’re doing?! K-Keep your filthy hands off me, idiot!” Eliss screams, pressing her back against the wall.

“I’ve met girls like you before — you act hard to get, but deep down you’re even dirtier than the rest. You want a guy to take you by force, don’t you? That’s why you tease guys and then back off at the last second. You crave it — being pinned down, dominated, forced to submit. That’s what turns you on, right? So be a good girl and let me have some fun!”

Eliss looks around — there’s nobody else there. A wicked smile slowly spreads across her lips.

This worm dragged me in here thinking he could take advantage of me. What a fool. He’s about to get exactly what he deserves.

Eliss raises a finger toward him, ready to cast one of her spells, when she suddenly freezes.

No… I promised Aoshi I wouldn’t hurt anyone again. And after I used Charming Magic on those police officers, he told me I could only use it with his permission. If he finds out I disobeyed him, he’ll be furious… he might even abandon me… W-What am I supposed to do…?

“Stop struggling, you’re seriously pissing me off!” Kaito snarls as he forcefully presses his left hand over Eliss’s mouth to muffle her screams, while his right—

“Mmph…! Mmph…!”

Her muffled, terrified whimpers grow louder the moment Kaito’s hand slips beneath her white bikini top and grabs her breast. With a rough pull, he yanks the top up toward her neck, leaving her trembling, wet chest completely exposed.

“Oh… now all that time wasted on that damn slide was worth it,” Kaito sneers as he brings his mouth closer to her nipple.

“N-No… please… don’t…” Eliss begs through tears.

But it’s useless — no plea could ever reach someone completely consumed by his animal instincts.

His lips are only inches from her chest, his tongue hanging out.

A furious, desperate shout echoes from the entrance and then… BAM!

Kaito is sent flying sideways, his head slamming against the tiled wall.

Freed from his grip, Eliss quickly fixes her bikini and runs straight toward her savior — Aoshi, who arrived just in time and crashed into Kaito with all the strength adrenaline gave him.

Dazed and bleeding, Kaito manages to get back on his feet within seconds — but not fast enough to stop Aoshi from grabbing Eliss’s hand and pulling her away in a desperate escape.

“Eliss, why the hell didn’t you use your powers on that bastard? I don’t even want to think about what might’ve happened if I hadn’t come looking for you!” Aoshi shouts.

“B-Because you’re the one who said you’d abandon me if I used them without your permission!”

“Obviously there are exceptions to that! I can’t possibly list every scenario! If your safety’s at risk, then use them! I didn’t think I had to explain something so obvious! Of course I get mad when you use them for stupid stuff — like that time at Cordesol Meat during our first month together, when you hypnotized the cashier so we wouldn’t have to pay!”

“I only did it because the bill was way higher than I expected and I didn’t have enough money! Not getting arrested counts as protecting myself too, doesn’t it?”

Ah… dealing with this girl takes so much patience.

Still… yeah, I guess this makes me sound like kind of an asshole, but I can’t deny I’m relieved that the handsome, polite guy from earlier turned out to be a complete bastard. I know I shouldn’t be happy about something like that… but at least I avoided the classic “We fell in love, I’m moving in with him, goodbye Aoshi” scenario.

The funny thing is, I clearly told her that if I ever got the chance to go out with another girl, I wouldn’t turn it down just to make her happy. And yet the thought of her going out with some other guy pisses me off way more than it should.

Damn it — I sound like one of those toxic boyfriends who cheat all the time and then throw jealous fits the moment they see their girlfriend smiling at another guy.

And besides… why the hell am I even jealous of Eliss? She’s not even my girlfriend, after all. And it’s not like I feel anything for her beyond the normal affection you get from living together for more than two months.

At least… I hope that’s all it is.
