Chapter 209: You’re a scary one…
It was probably past two when I came downstairs after taking a bath, still wiping my hair with a cloth. The maids and Sharle’s group worked frighteningly fast. While they waited for my ejaculation to settle they had already mostly finished looking after Aurora and the others in the room.
According to Eima and Rinelle, they had prepared sleeping beds in the room across the hall. Of course I could sleep in this room if I wanted… they said that while looking around and smiling in a troubled way. I could not say anything and just smiled wryly.
Once my ejaculation had settled they told me a bath was ready, so Eima and Rinelle led me to the second floor and I got in with them. Their hands were covered in semen from catching mine. We washed each other’s bodies, they washed my back, and we took a slow bath. Seeing the two of them naked was a feast for the eyes. Rinelle’s healthy, firm body and Eima’s sensual one almost made my lower half react again and I panicked a little. Luckily it did not get too lively. We got out and went downstairs together.
That tonic’s effect was too strong. I had enjoyed my lovers’ bodies that much and I was not tired at all. They said Roll’s friend had made it, but I should have only given Roll one. Could you make that much from a single one? I was tilting my head over that when I spotted Erika and Elysia sitting at the table. They looked this way with troubled smiles. They were wearing long white negligees of a type that did not show through much.
Eima and Rinelle sat at the table too and started chatting. Nimi peeked out from the kitchen beside us, carrying light snacks on a wooden tray.
“Fufu. Good work.”
“Yeah, thanks… but I’m surprisingly not tired at all. That tonic’s effect is amazing.”
“Roll-san’s friend apparently improved it over and over.”
Nimi said that with a cheerful smile. I smiled in a troubled way and headed for the table. After I sat, Nimi told me Pafa was already asleep with the twins. I accepted Nimi’s snacks, drank some tea, let out a small breath of relief, then asked what I had been wondering.
“Remodeling this place and the building itself… didn’t that cost a lot?”
“Fufufu. Yes… well, it did.”
“I will explain that. It did cost money, but we already have a proper outlook for recouping it.”
“…Recouping it?”
I tilted my head and looked at Erika. She gave a glossy smile, took a sip of tea, and exchanged a glance with Elysia. Recoup it? Wasn’t this building prepared for us? I also could not guess where the money would come from…
I still took a sip of the tea Nimi had prepared. Behind me it sounded like the maids were coming downstairs, so I looked that way.
…Hm? There are faces I don’t recognize. Did they hire new people?
I set my cup on the table and looked at Erika. She closed one eye, smiled, and folded her arms. Elysia hid her mouth with her fingertips, laughed quietly like she was enjoying herself, and started talking.
“We’re planning to have even more maids soon.”
“You hired new ones?”
“No. They’re the maids of people we’ve started a business partnership with. They’re sisters who’ve been through a lot and have been working hard, but they had to give up their estate…”
“Ah~, so you took the maids in temporarily?”
“More or less. Those sisters are moving in next door to us, and their house isn’t big enough for the maids to live there. So we lent the maids rooms here in exchange for putting them in charge of managing this place.”
Elysia said that with an elegant smile and tilted her head a little. I gave her a troubled smile back. Was that what they meant by recouping it? Lending rooms I understood, but those sisters would be paying a management fee for the rooms…
Erika seemed to read my face. She laughed quietly and smiled like she was enjoying herself.
“You secure capable people before someone else takes them.”
“…My lover is a scary one.”
“I’m your lover, and your student. I only followed your teachings.”
Erika smiled proudly. I thought I had never taught her that, but I did not say it. Instead I rubbed the back of my neck with one hand and smiled wryly.
Hm… then when they move in I should take some sweets and go greet them. In this world people move houses so often that the idea of greeting neighbors is thin, but I should still greet people we were likely to be involved with for a long time.
After Raide went back to his room at Nifa Inn to sleep, Eima and Rinelle also went home. Nimi, Elysia, and Erika sat at the table drinking tea. Nimi smiled with a slightly troubled face, took a sip, and let out a small breath.
They had remodeled this building as a place for the lovers to gather and as a place for Raide to do those things, but…
“He still seemed to have plenty of energy left…”
“Yes, Nimi-san. Maybe the tonic was too strong…”
“Can you weaken the effect?”
“We can, but since Raide-san was the one who used it… we’d like to test it on various people.”
“My, that’s true.”
Erika listened to Nimi and her mother talk and, inwardly, was quite appalled by Raide’s energy. They had prepared the tonic out of consideration so his stamina would not run out, and then he showed energy he did not even seem to need. Anyone would be appalled.
Raide had said he had gotten a hint for controlling the skill, and that the one-sided burden on their side would lessen. But in the end, as long as he had stamina… they would still get enjoyed that thoroughly. Being loved was honestly welcome, but being enjoyed too much was a problem. The plan Nimi, Elysia, and Lucian had led with was to surround him all together… but.
“He really is far too energetic.”
The sigh and mutter slipped out. Nimi and Elysia looked at each other, then at Erika, and smiled in a troubled way.
In a room of the only church in the royal capital, a conversation like this was taking place.
“…It’s been a while, you two.”
“It’s been a while, Lady Mirishu. If you were visiting the royal capital, you could have sent word to the castle…”
“…May I take it that you came on private business?”
“Yes. That interpretation is correct.”
“But you’re in a rather dangerous situation, aren’t you?”
“You noticed, then?”
“…They followed you. The Goddess must be grieving.”
“We will hide Your Holiness at the royal castle.”
“If something happens to you as Pope, it will start a conflict.”
“It can’t be helped. I wanted to see him even once if possible, but…”
“Fufu. Please rest easy.”
“He will come to see you himself.”
